Message: I thought of Steve as just a really great pal, I met him in 1985 at a DAWN summer party at my home near Flagstaff, I met his son Steve T. at that time. He certainly did a wonderful job on the net control calendar, getting us coordinated.

Message: Sarah, our hearts and prayers are always with you and your son Steve T. (KB9YOH). You and Steve (KC8PJ), always have been our dearest friends here in Phoenix. We will miss Steve more than mere words can say. He was an angel on earth. Always lending a helping hand, always with a smile. We have had so many wonderful memories of being with you both---those days up in the mountains walking through the bright colored Maple October leaves, and picnics, meals at the buffets and making many return trips to the desert bar, being together for special holidays, laughing at Dukes antics on his catwalks and chairs, and chasing the laser light in circles-- till he fell over--posing for his wonderful pictures. Steve with his camera always in hand, seeing pictures of him (and in person) climbing the dizzy stomach-grabbing 180 foot high Wildflower tower, trying to bring in a more perfect signal. Steve trying out his new Toyota Prius car, seeing and hearing Steve in his blue robe singing in the church choir, and on and on with grand memories. A true Christian and role model. He lived life to the fullest, always there to help friends and anyone who needed help of any kind. We know he is now singing in the Lords Heavenly choir with that big wonderful smile. "Hey Steve, give me a hint of what is causing the crackle noise on Wildflower!" Joyce and Joe Ruby KC7LRS and KC7GHT

Message: We did not know Steve very long, but we soon learned that he was friend to the world, a helpmate to anyone in need. He was one of those people that are hard to replace and will be remembered for years to come. I am sure that where he is now will be better for his being there, as this world has been made better by his time here. 73's

Message: Sarah, we all know how loved Steve was and that he was appreciated by all the people he helped, he was a great friend to everyone. I remember talking to Steve on the radio when we were walking on the beach in Coff's Harbour Australia at Christmas time. We tuned in when Joe organised the hospital net for him, and we were cheering Steve on. He was a wonderful man and he will be sadly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. 88's God Bless.
